I don’t know about you, but we tend to spend our cash this time of year on Christmas and not date nights. I still like to honor our monthly date night tradition even on a budget and to be honest, most of our date nights are pretty frugal any time of year. I thought I would make a list of some of our favorites to give you some ideas if you are in the same boat. 1. Hang out in a Barnes and Noble with a Starbucks. Grab some books and magazines you want to check out before buying, a hot chocolate or coffee and hang out and chat. 2. Take a scenic drive together. or this variation 3. Check out Christmas lights together. We always pack up the dog, run thru the Starbucks drive thru and check out the neighborhoods with great lights every year. 4. Play pool. For the cost of a couple beers and the pool table, you can have a fun night out. 5. Go to happy hour. Cheap drinks and food and some relaxation after work. 6. Go to a minor league hockey game. 7. Volunteer together. Animal shelters, Nursing homes, Food banks, all places you can volunteer together. 8. Go to the driving range or batting cages. 9. Play poker or learn to play it together! 10.
