I might be the only one who does this, but I have spilled more hot drinks on myself than I could count! A friend of mine showed me this trick awhile back and it has worked like a charm ever since! (Thanks B!) I had never heard this before, so I thought maybe there were others like me who could use this little trick!
Before you take your first sip, check where the seam of the cup and the opening in the lid line up. You do not want them to be in a line. If they are, your cup will end up dripping on you.
You want to make sure the seam and the lid opening are not in alignment. Problem solved!
