I started randomly watching a show called Motive on ABC last year and ended up liking it. Trust me, that doesn’t happen very often! Motive is your basic crime drama with a little twist. The killer and the victim are identified at the beginning of the show. The rest of the show explains the “motive” behind the murder. I have to caution my recommendation by saying I watch a lot of TV, especially your docu-drama crime shows. I appreciate that this show has a bit of a different take on the basic formula. My husband on the other hand is not a fan. I wouldn’t say it’s a stellar show, I would rank it around a Law and Order level. The reenactments can sometimes be clunky, but I like the dynamics of the cops involved. I’ll be honest that I only knew this show came back on the air because it showed up in my DVR, but I believe it is on Wednesday’s at 9. I don’t know how I would feel about watching it live, without the ability to fast forward through commercials, credits, etc. I find my tolerance for shows rises dramatically if I am watching it via DVR and can FF. As regular season shows have come to an end, I feel like this is a good option.
Check it out, I would love to hear your take on it.
