I went on a bloggy beauty expedition for you all again, it’s a hard job, but I do it for you!
Really, I could not wait to get an appointment at Dallas Beauty Lounge. I wanted to try nail art and they provided the best I’ve seen in Pittsburgh. Plus, I wanted to see their super awesome new space!
Walking into my appointment, it was a girly, pink paradise! Pink and glitter everywhere!
The entry wall art was custom painted by the ladies of the salon.
The main focus of the salon are the giant, pink princess pedicure chairs! I was lucky enough to get a pedicure in one of them!
Are they the most awesome thing ever or what? And check out the glitter wall behind them! The chairs were custom made for the salon and are amazing! I, of course, had to take the required selfie while lounging in them! Not sure why I went the serious route?
My self-titled Nail Princess Alexa told me about the care of gel nails (I was a newbie), and we talked about some ideas for nail art while she was doing my pedicure. I work in a pretty conservative job during the day, so I didn’t want anything too crazy. I decided to get my nails outlined in hot pink, because I knew it was something I would never be able to do myself and it would be very subtle for work.
Alexa did exactly what I was looking for and so far, I love them. I am anxious to see how they hold up, but I am told they should last 2 weeks at least. I also am anxious to see if I love them 2 weeks from now, because I am used to changing my nail polish out weekly! I had to swear I wouldn’t pick the gel off (and I swear I won’t Alexa!), but it is tempting! The fear of what it would do to my nails will keep me from doing it.
I went pretty boring, but trust me, these ladies are able to create amazing art on nails. I am mesmerized by how they are able to do it on such a tiny surface! It’s fascinating to watch.
Dallas was kind enough to let me look around the salon and take some more photos when my appointment was over.
The hallway to the skin service rooms continues the pink and glitter theme with silver glitter polka dots and this hot pink bureau! And of course I had to get a shot of the apothecary jar full of polish bottles! I posted about doing this idea a couple weeks ago with mine!
I loved the art above the polish wall. It was also created by the ladies of the salon. Dallas told me they have every color of gel polish their brand makes and I believe it!
Be sure to follow Dallas Beauty Lounge (Nails by Dallas) on Facebook or check out their web page for examples of their nail art! Trust me it is amazing!
Have you had your nails done by Dallas and Co? Have you tried nail art? I’d love to see or hear about it in the comments!
