I was in need of a new pink lipstick and I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on it because I was going to be taking it on a trip. I hate to bring my “good” makeup on trips in case I lose something. If you ever add up everything in your makeup bag, it’s a pretty hefty price tag to replace!
Anyhoo, I checked out the NYX selection at my local Ulta. I found a couple to choose from and they were buy one get one 50% off, so even better. I love to see makeup swatches on people, so thought you might like to see the colors I chose on me.
I took these photos in blazing sunlight, so they aren’t quite as bright in person. From the left, NYX lip liner in Ever Toujours, this was a lot darker than I was expecting, so probably a no go for me. Second from left, is NYX lipstick in Blush. I wore this a couple times over the weekend and really liked it. It’s a bright pink but not scary bright. I think this is the big winner for me.
Third from left is NYX lipstick in Pink Lyric. It is definitely a brighter pink, thought not quite as scary bright as the picture implies. I think it is wearable after blotting, at least for my coloring.
Lastly is NYX lip liner in Fuschia. I think this lip liner will work with a lot of colors or even on it’s own.
