I just came back from a trip to Asheville, NC and if I wasn’t aware of man buns being a thing, I am now! They are everywhere. And I am not talking about man buttocks! I’m talking about the man bun involving a hair band, the bro bun.
I know they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I am definitely a fan of the man bun. It just has to belong to the right type of head! Trust me, not everyone is cut out to sport the bun. That being said, there are some spectacular man buns walking around out there! Let’s peruse shall we?
Ay-Yi-Yi! Right? Definitely an upgrade from the sensitive pony tail man of the late ’80’s. Remember them? The current version is more muscular, has tattoos and usually a beard. More your outdoorsy man bun man.
And of course, there is the King of Instagram Man Buns, Brock O’Hurn! You may recognize him from the collage above. Ridiculous, right? He definitely has the pensive pose thing down.
