It’s officially May, so the countdown to the Royal Wedding can begin! The Royal Wedding is a perfect excuse to throw a watch party for your friends! I’ve been collecting ideas for mine for weeks and thought you might want to throw one too!
Since it’s going to be really early in the morning, a breakfast theme is in order. It wouldn’t be right not to include scones. I think a scone station would be adorable and really easy to put together. If you are making them yourself, try this recipe. You can make them the day of or make them ahead of time and freeze them. Now you can either have flavored scones or provide a variety of jams for your scones depending on time and your baking skills. I’m going with plain scones and different jams.
You of course need a variety of teas to go with your scones. This Royal Wedding Tea is a definite must have! And these royal family tea bags are hilarious.
Grab some store bought cupcakes and top them with these Union Jack toppers!
Next up, the decorations!!
Let everyone know they are in the right place by placing a pair of these life size Royal Guards at your door. Find them here.
My very favorite find are these walking Corgi Balloons! I just can’t with these they are so awesome!
You definitely need a Union Jack bunting! Find the one below here.
These photo props are also a must have for selfies while you wait for the festivities to kick off! Find them here.
These masks are pretty freaky with the missing eyes, but they would be super fun to stage photos with during your watch party!
If you have kids attending, these paper dolls would be a great idea to keep them busy.
Find the paper dolls here. You can also find a Royal Wedding coloring book here.
If you aren’t asking your guests to wear fascinators, you could provide these adorable headbands! I love these. Find them here.
Decorating crown cookies would make a great activity for commercial breaks and down time during the ceremony. Find the crown cookie cutter here. They also have a queen cookie cutter here.
What wedding would be complete without favors? These Royal Wedding tea towels are so pretty! I think they make the perfect favor!
Are you planning on watching the Royal Wedding? I’d love to hear if you are in the comments!
