Happy New Year! Hopefully you’ve recovered from all the holiday festivities! I spent some of my time off organizing my makeup and beauty items and started thinking about which were my favorites from the past year. I love reading about other bloggers top beauty products and thought you might too. Here are my Top 5 Beauty Products in 2018!
I’ve been using Sunday Riley’s Good Genes treatment for about two years and I still swear by it. I frequently get asked what anti ageing product I recommend and without fail, I say Good Genes. It does everything you need. Sunday Riley products are not cheap, but they last a long time. You literally just need about two pumps each night for your entire face. This product absolutely brightens my skin and plumps my wrinkles. I just started using it on a dark spot, so we’ll see how it does, but I am fairly certain it’s going to work.
Another product I use daily, MAC’s twig lipstick. I have lots of lipsticks, the majority of which are MAC. I literally always have a tube of Twig in my purse. It’s my daily go to shade and it’s fairly universal. Check it out next time you are at the MAC counter!
In 2018 I got annoyed with my normal foundation and tried a couple different brands. My favorite was IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation. It is a full coverage foundation and it covers everything! The key to using it is using the foundation brush.
I’ve used foundation brushes before and been kind of meh about them. This one from IT Cosmetics is a game changer! It gives you such a smooth airbrushed finish. I love it!
I put some product on my hand, dip the brush in it and then run it over my face.
I am probably the last person on earth to try a Wet Brush, but I finally did in 2018 and now I can’t quit telling people about it! I even bought one for a Christmas gift for someone.
I have hair that tangles terribly and I am tender headed which is a bad combo! I used to use a wide tooth pick to get my tangles out, but it was a long process and made me dread washing my hair. This brush works just as well as my pick, but is so much faster. I haven’t had a tangle that wasn’t untangled in two brushes. That might not seem like a big deal, but if you knew how bad my hair tangled and how long it took to get them out, you would get it!
I also like this brush to evenly distribute my dry shampoo. It does a great job of getting it through all of my hair.
What are your top beauty products? Tell me about them in the comments so I can try them too!
