Friday Five

Howdy Friends!

It’s Friday, so that means it is time for my Friday Five!  I am feeling a bit under the weather, but am hoping it’s allergies, not a cold.  Nothing worse than a summer cold when the weather is beautiful.

Speaking of….here’s example A from my lunch at the Rivers Casino with some work friends.  While I was taking selfies off the balcony with the city in the background (and teaching my friend proper selfie taking), my other friend won $500 at the slots! Choices, choices!

We went to the buffet and I fell in love with the Cinnamon Gelato!  Seriously delicious!  I could have made a meal out of just that!

I was browsing the aisles at Barnes and Noble and came across A Beautiful Mess’s book.  If you haven’t ever checked out their blog, you should.  Go right now, I will wait for you.  Just like the blog, the book is full of inspiring photos to take you to your creative happy place.  I feel chock full of ideas every time I flip through this book.  Find it on Amazon here.

I initially went into Barnes and Noble to find a new planner.  I have been trying to use my iPhone/Pad to plan my blog posts, but realized I still like to take pen to paper and see everything written out in front of me.  I found this little pretty in the calendar aisle and am hoping it meets my needs.  Find it here.

I am on a campaign to drink more water, which shouldn’t be hard to achieve because I currently drink about an ounce a day!  I thought a new Vera Bradley tumbler might be just the ticket to keep me drinking H2O all day.  Plus it was 60% off during their summer sale! I love how it looks on my desk and it does remind me to keep drinking throughout the day.  This particular pattern is sold out online, but they have plenty of other ones on sale here.

I came across these via Pinterest, but they originated here.  How genius are these?  I cannot find anything like them online, so if you do, please let me know.  The original post said they are from Kroger.  We don’t have that store in Pittsburgh. #sadness
