I am a definite makeup junkie, I try out new items all the time.  When I find a winner, I feel the need to share!

The Porefessional from Benefit Cosmetics is a definite winner.  I bought it thinking it couldn’t possibly stand up to the hype, but I am here to say it does!  Officially, Benefit says it is a balm that minimizes the appearance of pores.  What it actually does is a little more magical, at least to me.  It is a slightly tinted balm that creates a silky smooth base for your makeup.

I don’t really use primer, but this acts like a primer, but with one extra.  It appeared to blur any lines or rough spots I had on my face.  It’s so lightly tinted that you can’t really see it on your skin, but it blurs anything you don’t like.  It creates a smooth canvas for your foundation.

I have only been using it for about a week, but I am really happy with the results.  My skin has been through the wringer with sun damage and I feel it really polishes out those rough spots.  It leaves my skin feeling silky smooth.

I should add that I am a fairly pale complexion with super sensitive skin.  I tend to have redness and roughness from irritation, so I appreciate my skin feeling silky anytime!  I didn’t have any irritation from this product, a miracle in and of itself.

I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who is young and doesn’t have any rough spots or lines they wish to smooth out.  But for those in their 30’s and later, I give it two thumbs up!  It’s available at all your beauty stores, Ulta, Sephora, Macy’s and online.
