I thought in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, it would be a good idea to revisit a topic I wrote about awhile ago. I hope you are doing all your cancer screenings on a regular basis. I know it can be very scary to go to your first mammogram appointment when you don’t know what to expect, but I am here to tell you, it’s nothing to be afraid of. I wrote a post about it a couple months ago, and you can read it here. It outlines some tips to try on your next or first appointment! Any other tips you would like to share? Feel free to add them in the comments!

Great awareness for all women. And I would add don’t wait until the doctors and insurance companies tell you that you’re the “right age” for a mammogram. If there’s history in your family or if you feel there’s concern, go.

Thanks for sharing your tips. Some of my friends are afraid to have mammograms. But I keep telling them that it’s better to have it checked early, even if you don’t feel any lumps.
