I have always been a Home Goods, TJ Maxx, Marshalls shopper from way back. I am always surprised when I talk to someone who has never been in one. I feel like I always see something I can’t find normally at mine. I know some people don’t like the search, but that’s the part I love. You never know what is right around the corner. This is not a sponsored post by the way, they have no idea who I am and all opinions are mine, I just love to shop at these stores!
I popped into Home Goods this weekend to see what they had out in the way of Christmas decorations and I was not surprised. They had a ton of unusual items and I seriously saw something down every aisle, not to mention gifts galore. I ended up buying a silver wreath and when I got home my husband pulled out a nearly identical wreath I bought last year. D’oh! Apparently I really liked it!
Example one, this amazing Advent calendar. It was about 5 feet tall with wicker baskets for each day. I do think you could DIY something really similar for the price. I think it was about $129ish. I don’t have a use for it, but thought it was a cool décor piece for the season. You can see the aisles upon aisles of Christmas stuff in the background.
This fancy floral garland was beautiful in person. I don’t think the photo does it justice. The flowers were made of a fuzzy material and were really lux looking. I am a little sad I didn’t buy this one now that I look at it again. Again, you probably could DIY this and make the flowers to add to a pre-light garland. I believe it was $24.99. Making it yourself would allow you to use your personal décor colors, but I love the gray and silver tones.
This is another piece that was amazing in person. It was ice covered faux coral and driftwood. It was super heavy though and I know it wouldn’t have stayed on my front door. I pretty much live in a wind tunnel, so I have to be careful what I put on the door doesn’t become a weapon! I love that you could keep this up all winter. It’s so dreary once the Christmas stuff comes down, so I like a wreath you can keep up for all of winter.
I started seeing driftwood Christmas items a couple years ago, and was sort of over it, but I have to say I am in love with these angel wings. They were $24.99. Unfortunately, I didn’t have anywhere to put these or I would have snatched them up for sure! I may have to see if they still have these when I take my wreath back!
I didn’t take many photos of the gift items since I bought some of them and didn’t want the recipients to see them on the blog. One I didn’t buy but may go back for are these Jonathan Adler throws. Actually, there were tons of throws I wanted to buy for gifts.
Have you started Christmas shopping yet? Do you check out Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls ? What have your finds been? Tell me about it in the comments!

We don’t start our Christmas shopping until after Thanksgiving. And I’ve never been to a Home Goods store but I’m LOVING that advent tree. It’s so pretty!

I wish there was a Home Goods closer to my house. There stuff seems so much nicer than the TJ Maxx or Marshalls near my home. But like you said, the thrill is in the hunt so perhaps I should take another crack at one of these places!

Our TJ Maxx has really stepped up their home décor game since the Home Goods came.

I have to say I am wow’ed by many of the items at Home Goods and these items, especially the advent tree are great examples. I went to the one near my home last week and saw an 8 foot giraffe made of reeds (like the angel wings in your post). Very cool for the decorator w space and a strong sense of style! Happy Shopping!

I know, they have some really amazing things. I haven’t made it to your local one yet, but it’s on my list! Thanks for stopping by the blog and see you soon!

We don’t have a Home Goods, but we do have a TJ Maxx and a Marshall’s nearby. I love checking them out year round, but especially at the holidays. I may have to DIY that Advent Calendar idea, though as $129 is a bit out of budget, but I love the idea.
Thanks for sharing, I’m definitely getting in the holiday spirit now!

I haven’t started my shopping yet, but we do have a Home Goods/TJ Maxx combo store nearby and it has some great things in it! I’ll definitely head over there soon to see if there are any more Christmas decorations or gifts that I can’t live without! 🙂

This year we are going to be doing a different thing for Christmas where we will each get $20 and have to buy for each person in the house. We have tons of things around here and don’t need much. I do love throws and vintage afghans, I have tons of them!
